It's so much fun to see the joy on people's faces when they receive a tin of Christmas cookies! This year I set out to beat my record from 2023 and I did it! I gave out 24 tins of Christmas cookies and you can find all the recipes right here in this post.
This is only my second year doing this, and while it’s a lot of work, it really gets me into the Christmas spirit. I start early in November, always doubling or tripling recipes and freezing the cookies to stay ahead. It’s also incredibly convenient to have Christmas cookies in the freezer for unexpected visitors or last-minute gatherings.
This year’s collection includes some longtime favorites and a few new recipes I’ve never tried before. I love doing a mix of classic cookies and fresh additions! I hope this collection helps you discover a new holiday favorite to enjoy!

I recommend keeping thorough notes after baking each batch of cookies. Jot down details like how long they baked in your oven, the size of the cookie dough balls (I like to weigh mine), any changes you made to the recipe, and whether you doubled or tripled it. Make notes on how they tasted, too! I also like to keep track of who I gave Christmas cookie boxes to—it’s a great way to remember for next year. Keeping thorough notes makes next year’s baking so much easier!

Tips for making a great Christmas Cookie Box!
- Individually wrap strong-flavored cookies – Use small ziplock bags for cookies like gingerbread to prevent flavors from mixing.
- Start early – Bake cookies in early November and freeze them to stay ahead.
- Freeze properly – Freeze cookies in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring them to a ziplock bag to prevent chocolate or decorations from sticking.
- Print and take notes – Print all your recipes before baking and jot down notes to make next year’s process easier.
- Weigh your dough – Use a kitchen scale to portion dough evenly for uniform-sized cookies.
- Use festive packaging – Line boxes with parchment, add dividers to separate flavors, and finish with ribbon or twine.
- Label everything – Include handwritten labels with cookie names and key ingredients for those with allergies.
